Quran, the living miracle, a book so pure, so clear The one who is prompt to recite it is free from all fear.
Revealed to our noble Prophet (SAW) by Gibraeel (AS) who took the lead,
The blessed angel who encouraged him to start with a simple - 'READ'.

The Quran was sent down by Allah (SWT) as a mercy to all mankind,
A book so glorious and powerful, no mortal can ever find.
Each verse of the Holy Quran is so filled with rhythm and beauty,
A reminder before Judgement for each one to fulfil their duty.

The Quran clearly states what is right from what is wrong,
It cleanses our heart of impurity and makes the weak minded strong.
It guarantees the pious and righteous a place they so desire,
A warning to all hypocrites to escape from Hellfire.

Even if all the oceans were transformed into ink,
You would still need more for this very thought to sink,
That the Words of Allah(SWT) can never be exhausted,
And can never be compared to anything concocted.

In your mind dear reader two options now you bear,
To either pick up the Quran or leave it lying there.
Now is the time for you to sit down and contemplate,
Are you going to struggle to make or break your fate?????

Al-Tirmidhi HadithHadith 1002 Narrated byUmm Salamah
Allah's Apostle (peace be upon him) noticed that when a slave of ours, called Aflah, was prostrating, he used to blow off (dust from the place of prostration). Thereupon he (the Prophet) said: Aflah! Besmear your face with dust.

Book 20, Number 20.62.206:
Yahya related to me from Malik from Musa Ibn Uqba that Kuraib, the mawla of Ibn 'Abbas, heard Usama Ibn Zayd say, "The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, left Arafat and then, when he reached ash-Shib, he dismounted and urinated and then did Wudu, though not thoroughly. I said to him, 'It is time for the prayer, Messenger of Allah,' and he said 'The prayer is ahead of you,' and then mounted. When we arrived at Muzdalifa he dismounted and did Wudu thoroughly. Then the Iqama was said for the prayer and he prayed Maghrib. After that everyone settled his camel in its resting-place, and then the Iqama for Isha was said and he prayed it, without having prayed anything between the two."

Volume 6, Book 61, Number 507:
Narrated Anas bin Malik:
(The Caliph 'Uthman ordered Zaid bin Thabit, Said bin Al-As, 'Abdullah bin Az-Zubair and 'Abdur-Rahman bin Al-Harith bin Hisham to write the Quran in the form of a book (Mushafs) and said to them. "In case you disagree with Zaid bin Thabit (Al-Ansari) regarding any dialectic Arabic utterance of the Quran, then write it in the dialect of Quraish, for the Quran was revealed in this dialect." So they did it.

Volume 1, Book 3, Number 56:
Narrated Abu Huraira:
While the Prophet was saying something in a gathering, a Bedouin came and asked him, "When would the Hour (Doomsday) take place?” Allah's Apostle continued his talk, so some people said that Allah's Apostle had heard the question, but did not like what that Bedouin had asked. Some of them said that Allah’s Apostle had not heard it. When the Prophet finished his speech, he said, "Where is the questioner, who enquired about the Hour (Doomsday)?” The Bedouin said, "I am here, O Allah's Apostle.” Then the Prophet said, "When honesty is lost, then wait for the Hour (Doomsday).” The Bedouin said, "How will that be lost?” The Prophet said, "When the power or authority comes in the hands of unfit persons, then wait for the Hour (Doomsday.)"

He has sent down to you the Book, which has brought the Truth and confirms the Scriptures which preceded it. Before this, He sent down the Torah and the Gospel for the guidance of mankind,2 and He has sent down the Criterion (of right and wrong). Now there shall be a severe punishment for those who reject the Commandments of Allah: for Allah is Almighty, Avenger of wickedness.

Alif. Lam. Mim.1 This is the Book of Allah: there is no doubt2 about it. It is guidance to Godfearing people,3 who believe in the unseen,4 establish the Salats5 and expend (in Our way) out of what We have bestowed on them;6 who believe in the Book We have sent down to you (i.e. the Qur'an) and in the Books sent down before you,7 and firmly believe in the Hereafter.8

1Islamic culture requires a man to commence everything with the name of Allah. If this is done consciously and sincerely, it will surely produce three good results. First, it will keep him away from evil, because the very name of Allah will impel him to consider whether he is justified in associating His name with a wrong deed or an evil intention. Secondly, the very mention of the name of Allah will create in him the right attitude of mind and direct him to the right direction. Thirdly, he will receive Allah's help and blessing and will be protected from the temptations of Satan, for Allah turns to a man when he turns to Him.

Book 58, Number 58.2.11:
Yahya related to me from Malik from Zayd ibn Aslam from Ata ibn Yasar that a man of the Banu Asad said, "My family and I dismounted to rest at Baqi. My family said to me, 'Go to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and ask him for something that we can eat,' and they began to mention their need. I went to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and found that a man was asking for something, and the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, was saying, 'I do not have anything to give you.’ The man turned away from him in anger, saying, 'By my life! You give to whomever you wish.’ The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, 'He is angry with me because I do not have anything to give him. Whoever asks of you while he has an uqiya or its like, has asked with importunity.’ "
The man continued, "I said to myself about a camel that we had, 'It is better than an uqiya.’ (Malik explained that an uqiya was forty dirham’s) So I returned and did not ask him for anything, and the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, sent me barley and raisins after that. He gave us from his share until Allah, the Mighty, the Majestic gave us relief."

Book 3, Number 3.6.26:
26 Yahya related to me from Malik from Abu Ubaid, the mawla of Sulaiman Ibn Abd al Malik, from Ubada ibn Nusayy from Qais Ibn al Harith that Abu Abdullah as-Sunabihi said, "I arrived in Medina in the caliphate of Abu Bakr as-Siddiq, and I prayed Maghrib behind him. He recited the umm al Qur'an and two surahs from the shorter ones of the mufassal in the first two raka’s. Then he stood up in the third and I drew so near to him that my clothes were almost touching his clothes. I heard him reciting the umm al-Qur'an and this Ayat, 'Our Lord, do not make our hearts go astray after You have guided us, and give us mercy from Your presence. Surely You are the Giver. ‘“(Sura 3 Ayat 8)
