Mawlana Jalaludin Muhammad , is known as Rumi he was born in 1207 in Balkh ( today northern Afganistan). He was educated in both Persian and Arabic religious studies, as well as Islamic Jurispudence , Quran and Hadith. He is a Sufi Poet . . . Brother there is much to know about Mawlana Rumi , I have been studing his life and works for many years ( on and off) and still today i find out more which only further deepens my love for him.
There are many books as well as online sites that may be a better help to you.
